Befit Physiotherapy offers quality care for a range of conditions including back pain, neck pain, sciatica, tennis elbow, golfers elbow, muscle pain, tendon and ligament sprains and strains as well as care for ankle, foot, knee, shoulder, and hip pain. We use various treatment techniques to treat the patients and get them pain-free, these include Exercise Therapy, Inferential Therapy, Joint Mobilisation, Laser Therapy, Manual Therapy, Taping and Strapping, Fracture Casting, etc.
Some chronic conditions are subsidised by Medicare for Physiotherapy and a doctor’s referral is required with a ‘Enhanced Primary Care” (EPC) Plan for Chronic Disease Management (CDM) for claiming Medicare benefit. Medicare does not provide bulk billing, however Medicare subsidises such treatments heavily and provides Medicare benefit where the patient pays a small gap.
The physiotherapy treatment is carried out as per Medicare guidelines and you need to specify your GP name and EPC/CDM details while booking. Please bring your EPC/CDM referral letter and you can claim your Medicare (Bulk Billing) benefit on the spot with our HICAPS machine to save you from the hassle of claiming with Medicare.
The Medicare EPC rebate process is a bit different from the typical bulk billing process. The first step is that the Patient has to pay the applicable fee upfront. We use the patient’s Medicare card with a savings account and Medicare refunds the set amount back to patient’s account directly, to help minimise out of pocket expenses for the patient. The EPC Medicare rebate as of 1st July 2024 is $60.35 and patients pays the Gap.
DVA Gold card holders & approved Insurance claimants are not required to make any payment. We are registered with SIRA for Work Injuries Cover and Motor Injury Claims and also cover NDIS. The patients approved with these don’t have to make any payment and we can settle the payments directly with insurance agencies.
